And yes, while he knows it’s not temporary, that it would be stupid to expect Izuku to rely on him all the time, if he gets accepted into his life again like this, then he’ll still have time. And Katsuki will take it. All of it. As little or as much as he can get because it’s still time and that time is with Izuku.
That’s all he wants. All he really cares about.

"Yeah!'' The word bursts out and for a moment even Izuku seems shocked by the proclamation; "Yes, I wanted to tell him to back up, wanted him away from me. Of course, I wanted that, but you don't always get things you want,"
''Then why didn't you? Why can't you allow yourself to realize that you're allowed to have boundaries?"
''It's not easy, I've never been allowed to have them, Kacchan,''
''Well I'm here making it easy for you,'' He says, ''So get that bullshit thinking out of your head,''
They stand in silence; Izuku seems to mull over what Katsuki has said, and finally does the other's gaze lift up. Katsuki feels honored to be shown this side of Izuku at all.
"And if I want to...be touched? Hugged and stuff... what do I do then?"

“Cold?” Bakugou teased, eyeing Deku.
“Yeah.” He couldn’t let Bakugou figure out what was happening. Or any of the others, for that matter. Maybe he could tell Todoroki since they had always been close, but Deku didn’t want anyone to know how weak he really was.
“You good, man?” Sero asked, leaning forward to look at him better. “You seem a bit pale.”
“It’s the lighting,” Deku deflected. He knew Sero was right; he could feel the blood draining from his face as the pain continued on. It had spread from his arm to his entire body. His arm and back were the main things bothering him, but his entire body was throbbing with a dull ache. Advil didn’t do jack shit, and neither did Tylenol.
“I dunno. You look awful. No offense.” Kaminari looked at him, his brows furrowed in worry.
“Yeah, if you’re not feeling well, you can tell us,” Kirishima pressed.
“I’m fine, guys, really. Just tired. That’s all.” Part of him felt bad for lying to them, but it was better than telling the truth.
“If you say so.” Kirishima obviously didn’t believe him, but he thankfully dropped the topic.

Summary
The summer had been hot- beyond anything anyone had seen.
Popsicles melted faster than usual, roads nearly popped tires, and training had become more of a bitch than usual to the heroics students. But it was productive. Distracting.
Izuku never minded because at least with everything that had kept him busy, he was away from his anxiety and reminders of isolation and bad habits. But things are always complex, and well, consistent. Sick of the blaring heat, a villain with weather powers releases what Japan may consider one of the worst blizzards in history, all while in the month of June.
When all of those distractions are suddenly stripped, leaving Izuku in isolation with his class in the dorms for a “well deserved” break, those broken bad habits soon mold back into his hands. But compared to his early years, the people around him actually begin to pay attention.

After his kidnapping, Izuku struggles. He’s meek and quiet, violent, nothing as he was.
The mumbling Katsuki always complained about, becomes something he begs for. In rough, scarred hands he holds Izuku’s face and tries very hard to be gentle.
There’s a dread that nibbles at his gut.
Izuku has lost something, clearly. Katsuki thinks that maybe, just maybe, if he can get in close enough he can slot back in the missing piece.

Katsuki clutches the award in his hands, and stares out amongst the mass of eyes watching him. They want one thing, and it’s reassurance.
Katsuki is not their man.
“There’s a lot I’m already doing. I don’t need to say it, and I don’t need to wait to be higher in the ranks.” Katsuki answers, strong. This is not his intended answer, and his PR team is going to give him the ass-whooping of his life once he steps off stage. He clears his throat, and promises:
“I’m reopening the search for Japan’s saviour, Deku. Join me or don’t, I don’t care, but I’m bringing him home.”
With that, he turns and walks away. There’s a rumbling roar of the crowd that follows him.

Warm fingers trailed his collar, then up his neck to his hair. “Your hair’s wet.” Then, Bakugou gasped. “You idiot. You actual idiot. Holy shit. We have to get you warmed up.”
Bakugou pulled Deku into his bed with a bit of urgency, pulling the covers over him. Yanking his shirt off, he then snatched Deku to his bare chest, and Deku really liked where things were headed.
“C’mon, you’re fine.” His chest vibrated as he spoke. His hands ran all over Deku’s body, hastily slipping under his sweater to try and warm up his skin. “Why’re you breathing like that?”
“Like what?” It kind of felt like there were bees buzzing in his chest. Wouldn’t that be funny?
“You’re scaring me.”
Huh, that was different. Bakugou didn’t get scared, and if he did, he never said it. Why was Deku scaring him? He didn’t want to upset him.

Summary
Some days, it seemed like he would never be able to match the level of steel and courage Izuku had, others he looked... fragile, haunted by unseen terrors that Katsuki had yet to soothe. Or rather, did his best to soothe. He had always sucked at helping people with that type of thing.
Shit most definitely happens to you when you watch people die. Especially a person you'd known since forever.
And not to mention... those feelings. The ones that made him question things, that still made him fill with doubt, fear.
