"Uh," he says. "Is it just me or is the building shaking…?"

This was not good.
He knew he had shifted in his sleep, sure—but this?
This was a crime.
Colby didn’t dare look up, but the dread was already pooling in his chest like a storm cloud. Sam hated when people invaded his space—especially on trips. Especially when they were trying to sleep.
And here he was. Leeching warmth. Clutching Sam’s shirt like some clingy rom-com character.

Colby didn't even know when Sam disappeared from his sight. He was supposed to go for another drink but he still hasn't returned and a weird feeling was settling itself into Colby's stomach.
All Sam knew was that he's been talking to a "fan" when the world started spinning and suddenly he couldn't stand. There were hands all over him and voices all around him but he couldn't make out what they said. He knew for sure they didn't belong to Colby or any of their friends, but his attempts to get away were too weak. He had no idea what would happen next but he certainly didn't want to stick around and find out.
