Summary
Robby and Whitaker texted every so often. Well, it was mostly Whitaker. Usually he would send him little updates about the house, a little everythings going good! or a AC broke, who do I call? every couple of weeks. Normal stuff. Sometimes Whitaker would ask how Robby was doing. He would send a thumbs-up or something equally dismissive. But they didn’t talk. It was really just Whitaker’s semi-regular updates that could be given a quick read and a little heart reaction. All of this is to say, a pile of messages was out of the ordinary.

It’s ridiculous, how surprising it feels, but Dennis can’t help it. Dr. Robby belongs in the Pitt — he is the Pitt. To see him outside of the PTMC feels like seeing your school teacher in the grocery store as a pre-teen — unsettling, mildly world-shifting, and leaving you feeling slightly giddy.
When Dennis finds out his boss is a part of a less-than-typical subculture, he finds himself falling down the rabbit hole of kink, self-exploration, and how to find that balance between what you really want versus what you actually end up getting.

Summary
After avoiding capture in Baltimore, Hannibal escapes to Europe with Bedelia. However, their relationship is less than ideal, so he's easily swayed by the attention of a man who just so happens to look exactly like the man that broke his heart back in the States.
Waking up after almost dying, Will realizes that he won't be able to move on with his life without seeing Hannibal at least one more time. He has questions that need answers, so he will cross oceans to find the man who left him behind. However, when he finds Hannibal, it seems he's moved on with someone who looks strangely familiar.
(Or, instead of killing Antony, Hannibal starts a fling with him while in Florence in an attempt to move on from Will. It doesn't work, especially when Will suddenly shows up in Italy looking for him. Diverging from Antony's death S3E1.)

"Physically? You. Psychologically? Also you." Will brought his head back up, making it roll around like a football. "Let's stop playing games, Doctor Lecter. I don't like that you're trying to find out how my brain works and I can guarantee you, from someone who also doesn't know, you'll never get there. So undrug me and... let me... go... home..."
Will's eyes began rolling upwards, losing control of themselves. His body went weak and, once again, he was knocked out.Hannibal sighed; the understanding look on his face couldn't have changed the displeasure he had felt seeing Will's determination in refusing to collaborate. He quickly grabbed some strong-smelling salts from a nearby shelf and hovered them under Will's nose.
"G-Goddammit... Hannibal!" Will's eyes struck open in surprise. The doctor's face was mere inches from his.
"Do you understand why I can't let you go, Will? You'd be a danger for others and, most importantly, for yourself."
