“I don’t-“ Mike begins, sounding very defensive even to his own ears. “There isn’t.” His eyes, the traitors, flick to Will for just a second, “anyone I like, I mean.” He can feel his ears starting to burn.
“There so is,” Lucas decides to join in, staring at him intently. Oh joy. Did he mention he hates his friends? Only Dustin and Will are nice.
“You’re right, look at his ears, they’re totally turning red!” Dustin all but shouts in excitement and – scratch that, only Will is nice. The nicest.
“So, who is it?” Lucas pushes.
“Is it someone we know?” El asks.
“It’s got to be,” Dustin reasons. “Who does Mike know that the rest of us don’t?”
Max gets an almost evil glint in her eyes. Whatever she’s about to say, Mike knows he is royally fucked.
“Is it…” Max hesitates, smiling at Mike like she knows and, knowing her, she probably does, so Mike opens his big stupid mouth, interrupting whatever she could have been about to say – is it Will – and blurts out, “it’s someone from my English class.” What the fuck? “You wouldn’t know him.”

Summary
Mike and Will bumped elbows as they walked down the hallways, headed to the back of the school where it would be easier to sneak out unnoticed.
"Do you want to.. talk about it?" Will hesitantly questioned. And Mike, he didn't know how to respond, what was there to talk about?
Mike settled with a small shake of his head and a weak sounding, "Not yet." to which Will nodded firmly, sending worried glances over to Mike every now and then.
Mike wanted more than anything to hold Will's hand, tell him that's he's ok, that he 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭 be ok as long as they're together.
But he can't, and that hurts more than he'd like to admit. He wished things were different, he wished he was normal.
He wished Will was a girl, it'd be easier that way.

The words come out rushed and Mike refuses to look at Will, who takes the remote control and stops the movie abruptly.
“What?”
“I mean, you don’t have to, obviously. But I was thinking - if you think I’m pretty and would wanna kiss me, then you should. Like you know-”
Mike cuts himself off in the middle of the sentence and looks for better words. Preferably ones to show him as any less desperate to kiss Will than he is.
“For practice. You’ve never kissed anyone and I haven’t kissed anyone in a long time, so - yeah. I can show you how to and then you’ll know, when you find a girl you like.”.
