Zaun’s Machine Herald scoffs the first time he reads it, tossing the stained and torn paper that his apprentice brought down the conveyor behind his shoulder. He is rewiring his left arm again, trying to iron out why his sensors detect a microsecond’s delay between the synapses firing in his brain and the acknowledgement by his mechanical nerves.
“Natural causes,” he scoffs. “He is what? Sixty years old? Men that rich do not die that young.”

Thanks, I’m well aware of how people see me and how they want me. The one fumbling entanglement in the basement of a house party was enough for me though, because she found it weird when I started crying and then got so mad that I wouldn’t scent her that she left.
And I only did it because she smelled so good, like a river, like fresh cut grass, and it made me so jealous I was dizzy with it. In this paper I will analyze these common elements of the omegaverse using multiple different A/B/O fanfictions and propose possible hormonal mechanisms behind these behaviors based on existing literature from animals who exhibit analogous behaviors. I will also discuss what elements of mammalian behavior omegaverse fanfictions often misrepresent and the implications of these misrepresentation specifically with the imposing of human gender roles onto non-human behavior as well as discussing how the behaviors omegaverse authors have chosen to implement in the omegaverse shape the literary impact of these works.

Summary
Viktor "A," the mage who transcended mortality, reached over and over through the expanse of the Arcane to find an end to the eternal cycle he and Jayce are bound to. The journey finally over, he watches as his own Jayce is freed from the suffering they've endured for far, far too long, and quietly awaits his turn.
It does not come. Clearly there is work still to do.
Lost and now without purpose for the first time in eons, Viktor turns his energy toward the first act of atonement that comes to mind: rescuing Jayce "C," a variant whose unique circumstances have left him trapped in his dead-end timeline for over a decade. Perhaps if he can find somewhere safe for this Jayce to exist, he will finally earn his own story's end.
If only it were that easy. Viktor A has made a terribly human miscalculation- he failed to consider that he and Jayce C may have different expectations when it comes to their 'temporary' arrangement.
