Summary
Modern WangXian AU. I like treading close to canon - out of respect for the original and, especially in this case, for the emotional power of its tragedy - but here I'm transposing it into a mildly-dystopian modern context. There's some worldbuilding in most of the stories in this series; not in any particular order, but as it evolved in my mind. Sometimes I repeat elements of it to enable a story to be read as a standalone narrative. There'll be some inconsistencies and continuity gaps because I write my stories as they come to mind, not necessarily in a planned sequence. There are also distinct sub-arcs in the main setting of this AU, and not all of them are connected. Her wish is granted, but not in the way she expected: A star comes down to Earth, taking the form of an excited, shape shifting, teenage boy.
