In fact, maybe the worst idea they’ve ever had, which is saying something because they have had some very bad ideas in their time.
Everything goes wrong.
A piece of the cake falls completely off when they try to set the fondant on top of it, which causes Kenny to try to catch it, which messes up the fondant because he was the one holding the fondant to place it on top and now the fondant is completely sticking to itself and stretched and ripped in ways it’s absolutely not supposed to be stretched or ripped.
“Okay, no, we can fix this,” Stan whispers and Kenny isn’t sure if he’s trying to assure himself or Kenny.
Either way, it’s not working.

Arthur wipes a palm over his trousers trying to get rid of the sweat that has suddenly started to slick his skin. “I don’t like Sophia…I’m sorry Merlin.”
“Don’t be sorry. You like who you like.” Arthur turns to face Merlin, drinking in Merlin’s words as if they were a blessing.
“You think it’s okay?”
“Sure. So who do you like?”
The question leaves his mouth dry. He knows the answer to that question of course. He’s known for a while, but at the same time he didn’t know. Not until now, not until he’s been straight up asked. It’s like pieces of a puzzle finally fitting together, or the method of a maths problem finally making sense. So who do you like, Arthur? Merlin shifts in the bed and turns onto his side.
Arthur’s face moves before his mind can make sense of what he's doing.
