“Well, everything happens. There’s always a reason for it though.” He pauses. “What is your reason?”
Caduceus also had a way of prying the truth from someone so gently they didn’t know anything was being pried at all; or in Fjord’s case, so gently that they didn’t mind at all.
It reminded him of the Wildmother; her gentleness, her care and soft touch.
Guilt started to swell in Fjords chest. He looked even further away, staring at the tree.
“Did something happen?” Caduceus asked, noticing the change. “Uk’otoa?”
“No, I’d tell you if something happened.” That much was true. Fjord trusted Caduceus when it came to Uk’otoa, trust that had been proven time and time again.
Caduceus kept smiling gently at Fjord, waiting. Fjord finally looks at him and sighs, sinking further into the grass. “I was thinking about him though. Uk’otoa. And Avantika.”
“Ah.” Caduceus clicks his tongue. “That’s only natural. It was a lot that had happened. Anything specific you were thinking about? Or is it just, lingering emotions?”
OR- Fjord is feeling a lot of emotions about his past. Caduceus is there to talk him through it.

Summary
Caleb seemed confused when the simulacra placed the smaller cup in his hands, which was about normal sized in his grip. “Okay?” He seemed to take it more out of not being sure what else to do, rather than wanting tea.
“It’s a very rare blend, my favorite.” Pumat smiles, prompting him to drink.
He hesitantly rests the cup on the counter. “Perhaps you should save it for yourself then.”
“I’ve already poured it for you.” He says, interesting.
“I don’t like tea.”
“I don’t either, but I like it. You should try some.” Pumat smiles. “Perhaps if you like it I can start selling it.”
Caleb hesitated, but took a sip.
Oddly enough his expression remained mostly unchanged. Which wasn’t the usual effect of the dust of deliciousness.
Perhaps his simulacra only put in a pinch?
Actually now that he looked at him, Caleb’s expression seemed very vacant. His eyes almost empty.
Pumat was getting deeply concerned.
OR- Caleb comes into the Invulnerable Vagrant trying to sell everything he had; Pumat Sol is suspicious

Summary
The giant burned, along with the wooded patch behind them.
And then that distant look crossed over his face, his eyes seeing both nothing at all and too much.
Beau stepped forward, reached out to gently take his arm, prepared to guide him away.
Then Caleb started screaming.
“Caleb? Caleb!” Nott shouted, rushing forward, pulling at his coat. “Caleb snap out of it! Caleb!”
He didn’t even seem to notice, screaming and crying, face full of anguish as he wrapped his arms around himself, shaking violently.
“Caleb? Hey man, snap out of it!” Beau shouts, quickening her pace.
“What’s wrong with him?” Fjord shouted, also rushing over, but he was aways away; this wasn’t normal, not at all. He was screaming in agony.
The whole party was paying attention now, either rushing over, or watching, terrified.
But Caleb saw none of it; all he saw was the fire, the flames dancing in front of him, fore consuming all.
And he screamed.
“Caleb, please snap out of it.” Nott begged, tugging at his coat again, tears pricking her large eyes.
Then Caleb lunged forward - Towards the fire.

“It is odd, hearing you refer to the Commissioner as dad.”
Sarah shrugs. “Jacques thinks it's weird too.”
“Has he been good to you?”
“Yeah, he’s nice.” She says, swinging her legs back and forth on the park bench. “It’s hard to know what he thinks of me though.”
“It’s hard to know what he thinks?” Belphegor says, that low, unearthly laugh escaping again. “I do not think I have ever heard anyone say that about him.”
“Well he’s not hard to read.” She puffs up a bit. “He’s just, you know, he doesn’t seem to know what he thinks of me either.”
Belphegor tilts his head, silently prompting her for more.
"He’s nice, and he’ll play dolls with me, and he got me a really old book for my birthday! I just turned 13! But sometimes he seems really sad when he looks at me. Sometimes guilty. Sometimes like he’s mourning. Sometimes he just looks confused.” Sarah shrugs. “It’s probably weird for him too.”
Sarah looks at him. Belphegor is always so expressionless. Even with the mask covering most of his face, his eyes just look empty. Hollow. Not depressed or hopeless, but like there's part of a human that just wasn’t there or wasn’t where it should be. “What happened that day?”

Summary

What he didn't expect was having to face his own family's issues through the screen, and rather than sharing the film with his brothers and working through their issues together, Leo decides to take up the burden of healing his family on his own.
